Characteristics of improper communications:
  • Delay in information delivery
  • Insufficient information
  • Information sent to wrong audience
These leads to Misunderstanding and/or misinterpretation of message.

Effective communication:
Means the information is provided in right format, at the right time to the right audience, and with the right impact.
Efficient communication:
Means providing only the information that is needed.

Total number of communication channels = (N(N-1))/2. Where N = number of stakeholders.
If there are 4 stakeholders then there are 6 communication channels.
